Micro - Hospitals

We're working to establish a network of rural Micro-Hospitals to provide medical care and training through an integrated service of telemedicine, education, consultation, and other Doctor Lync assets.

Providing Health Care to Rural Communities

HALF OF OUR WORLD'S POPULATION LACKS ACCESS TO BASIC HEALTHCARE

Getting basic healthcare remains out of reach for most of the world's poor because of issues of accessibility and affordability.

Overburdened hospitals, low-quality care, inadequate medical facilities, lack of health and hygiene awareness, and poor sanitation practices compound the problems of the poor.
  • Half of the world’s population has no access to basic healthcare.
  • One billion people around the world cannot afford the health care services which they need.
  • The World Health Organization finds that health expenditures are pushing more than 100 million people per year into "extreme poverty," those who live on $1.90 or less a day; and about 180 million per year into poverty using $3.10 per day threshold.
